They had to wrestle the first leg out
An hour and a half later, five legs were out
It was finally possible to glimpse a bit of the interior
Legs were loaded into a waiting truck
It took four men to carry one leg into the interior
At last, only two legs remained
The penultimate leg was removed
A hoist helped carry the leg to the waiting truck
Preparation was made to remove the last leg
Everything appeared aligned
And the last leg pulled free
And then the spider was gone
They bowed to honor the spider before starting
Many moving blankets were needed to protect the art
Its legs were wrapped in blankets first
The wrapping progress proved swift
Plastic next wrapped the wrapping blankets
Finally, all the legs were double wrapped
The head was removed
The head was so heavy it required three men to lower it
The head lay wrapped on the ground
A lift was brought in to support the body
