His fingers almost flew over the keypad
A pirate was there to entertain the children
The pirate proved to be a great clown
His spinning plate balancing act wowed the crowd
He proved to be a funny ventriloquist as well
The event took place at the old U.S. Naval Station
Free boat trips were being prepared
The old bridge was background to the marina
The City was also background to the marina
Yet scum could still drift into the marina
In the distance, the new bridge continued to grow
The marina area gradually came to life
One man waited while reading "Latitude 38"
A boat construction contest got underway
The elderly eyed one Baads boat
The Treasure Island Yacht Club was there too
Two performers tuned up by entertaining outside
They eyed the stage to see if it was their turn yet
Kids tried out the sample mini-cars on display
A pirate bear took over one of the smaller craft
Entertainment took place under a shady tent
Entertainers envied those who got free boat rides
One free boat ride ended so another could begin
Proud boat owners greeted visitors to the fair
Children's boat lessons took place that afternoon
Then came the rhythmic sea shanties
